The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) serves those who commute to UCSB by
foot, skateboard, bicycle, bus, carpool, vanpool or train. By reducing traffic congestion,
traffic emissions and the demand for parking on campus, we conserve energy and contribute
to a better UCSB.

COMING JUNE 1, RESERVATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE BIKES ON BOARD THE PACIFIC SURFLINER®
For a $5 fee, you are guaranteed a space
for your bicycle for an entire Surfliner® trip. Reserve the space when you book your trip at an Amtrak station or at
Amtrak California.
Just click “Add Bike to Trip” after you select a departure station and class of service. Please note, boxed bikes are NOT
accepted on the Surfliner®.
Amtrak advises, reserve your bike space early!

LOOKING FOR A ONE-WAY TICKET NORTH OR SOUTH?
Consider purchasing a vanpool voucher at the
Parking Services office.
From $5 to $7 per ticket, you can travel vanpool standby
to destinations ranging from Santa Maria to Thousand Oaks.
